About ARU:

ARU is a vibrant workplace and our University is gaining prominence both nationally and internationally. We have ambitious plans for the future and we are determined that our students and staff will realise their full potential. Our main campuses in the cities of Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough have been transformed with major capital investment. With an annual turnover of over £200m, we are a major force for higher education and one of the largest universities in the East of England.

About the Role:

The International Office at ARU is a dynamic multi- functional service with teams based on both our Cambridge and Chelmsford campuses, as well as overseas. With primary responsibility for all elements of International student recruitment and orientation, the International Office also manages and co-ordinates wider international relationships and activity, including partnerships, Study Abroad and student/ staff exchange.

As part of our ambitious plans to grow our international reputation and reach, we have created an exciting new role to lead our international marketing and communications activity. With responsibility for a small team, you will develop and implement the International Office’s marketing & communications strategy to raise ARU’s international profile and facilitate increased International student recruitment. Working with senior colleagues you will also make a significant contribution to the delivery of broader international strategy objectives as a member of the International Office management team.

With a degree or relevant professional/degree level qualification (chartered where appropriate) and excellent organisational, project management and analytical skills, you will have significant marketing and communications experience, including successful campaign management in the Higher Education Sector.  Utilising your management and leadership skills, you will lead your team to deliver our marketing and communications strategy, generating and fostering new and creative ideas and opportunities.
