We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Film and Animation Lecturer to join the School of Foundation at Arts University Bournemouth. The postholder will be well informed about the broad area of specialist and contemporary practices within Film and Animation, including practical ability and an awareness of contemporary contexts and debates. You will be flexible in your approach to Film and Animation education and open to development and training within the discipline. 

The successful candidate will be capable of managing the effective learning of students through the devising and delivering of inspiring lectures, seminars and workshops, offer tutorial support and have an active involvement in the assessment process. The postholder will teach on courses across the art, design and media curricula. The majority of this teaching will be on Foundation courses and the International Foundation Diploma.

We seek to appoint someone who can enhance the ethos of excellence and outstanding achievement, both in the School of Foundation and Arts University Bournemouth. The postholder will hold a Postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject area and have relevant teaching experience at post-compulsory level. The postholder should also hold a teaching qualification. 

This position involves working with under-18’s and therefore requires compliance with the University’s Safeguarding Policies, including the requirement for enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance prior to the commencement of employment.  The University is committed to stringent Safeguarding practices, including in its practices around the recruitment and selection of staff, to positions which involve working with children and/or vulnerable people.  The successful candidate will be required to complete AUB approved Safeguarding Training.
