Job description

A postdoctoral position within a US-Ireland Tripartite R01 scheme funded programme led by Prof Dan Longley and Dr Philip Dunne to investigate the efficacy of novel therapeutic approaches for treating colorectal cancer.

This is a fixed term post. 

The successful candidate must have:

  • Have or be about to obtain a PhD in cancer biology, molecular biology or a related discipline.
  • 3 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in organoid or other 3D culture models of cancer.
  • Experience with co-culture models of cancer (e.g., cancer cells cultured with immune cells).
  • Experienced in a range of molecular and cellular biology techniques.
  • At least three years relevant research experience with publication record commensurate with experience.

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
