Centre Manager - CASE

Job description

We have a remarkable opportunity for a full-time Centre Manager who will help lead the Centre for Advanced Sustainable Energy (CASE), hosted by Queen’s University Belfast. CASE is an industry driven collaborative research centre funded under the Invest NI Competence Centre Programme. Through this exciting role the Centre Manager will help shape the strategic development of the Centre and will work with other major centres and initiatives across the University and the Northern Ireland Innovation community. The Centre Manager will also be responsible for the day to day management of the Centre and will report to the CASE Board with parallel reporting to senior staff within Queen’s University Belfast.

This post is available for 27 months or until 30 September 2023 whichever is soonest.

The successful candidate must have, and you should clearly demonstrate this in your CV/Cover letter:

  • Relevant first degree in Energy, Engineering, Environmental or Physical Sciences.
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience in leading large scale, funded, programmes relevant to the sustainable energy sector.
  • Proven ability in delivering and managing projects with multiple stakeholders and extensive budgets which are commensurate to CASE eg. £5M+ budget, multi-site, multi-discipline.

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
