Under Director Professor Joy Damousi, the Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences will support ACU’s continued growth and success in the key disciplines of History, Political Science, Sociology and Literature.
In the 2020 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, ACU has risen to the 251-300 band, skipping the 301-350 band entirely and holding its place in the top 2 per cent of universities in the world. ACU sits in the 201-250 band for Arts and Humanities. In 2020, ACU also appeared in the CWTS Leiden Ranking for the first time and was the leading Australian university in the Humanities and Social Sciences when ranked both by the proportion of papers in the top 5% most frequently cited (a scientific quality measure) and by the proportion of papers demonstrating interinstitutional collaborative publication.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in English Literature. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of conducting outstanding research in English Literature appropriate to the level for which they are applying.
To apply, and for further information, visit the ACU Careers website.
Applications close : Tuesday 13 July 2021; 11:55 PM AEST
*Explanation note: The Level B positions are either fixed-term(5 years) or continuing. The Level C, D and E positions are continuing. Continuing, in the Australian context, means there is no end date and would normally continue until such time as the staff member resigns or retires.
