The Global and Education Pathways portfolio is responsible for the development and implementation of the University’s strategic priorities in a range of key areas. Driving excellence, through its three key units, ACU International, Education Pathways and ACU College, Global and Education Pathways has specific responsibility for the University’s Global Strategy, Widening Participation and Student Retention Strategies

The Manager, Business Intelligence is responsible for leading and supporting the evidence-based strategic direction and decision making of Global and Education Pathways. This role will work across the GEP portfolio to provide timely analysis of data, business intelligence, reporting and data-based recommendations to ensure data informed decision making in relation to program development, course viability, market analysis and insights and strategic planning. This position plays a critical role in informing course and program development, evaluating commercial and revenue generating opportunities in in pathways and global markets and supporting advancement of ACU’s global and domestic reputation.

More specifically the role entails:

  • Leading the development and provision of business intelligence across the Global and Education Pathways including development of regular performance reporting, collation of market intelligence and data analytics to inform and enable the portfolio to make strategic marketing, recruitment and program based decisions and respond to internal and external changes and market opportunities.
  • Supporting international recruitment, marketing, communications operations through provision of data analytics and market insights from internal and external sources
  • Leading evaluation of pathway programs performance with the focus on academic success, progression, articulation and retention, and provide reporting narrative informing Pathways decision making processes.
  • Leading and delivering projects within Global and Education Pathways to enable achievement of the ACU Strategic Goals.

You will need to have:

  • A tertiary qualification in a related field with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training,
  • Relevant qualifications and extensive experience,
  • Advanced skills in data analysis, interpretation and research with demonstrated experience in business intelligence including knowledge of the tools and techniques to analyse complex data and produce robust and clear recommendations,
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to generate information and insights to inform business decisions,
  • Strong self-motivation to learn and evaluate new technologies to continually enhance data analyses and reporting.

Total remuneration valued to $117,318 - $131,120 pa, including salary component $99,135 - $110,834pa (Higher Education Worker Level 8), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
