Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 504266), to commence as soon as possible on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, with at least 3 years of teaching experience.  Proficiency in English, enthusiasm in teaching, and good mentoring skills are essential.  Those with an academic background in all areas of Chemistry are encouraged to apply.  The appointee will be responsible for developing and teaching undergraduate Chemistry-related courses, supervising undergraduate laboratory classes, assisting in launching M.Sc. programme in Chemistry, providing academic advising services to students, offering support to teaching-related activities such as liaising with undergraduates in the Department, and leading outreach activities in programme promotion and student recruitment matters.  Those with proficiency in teaching interdisciplinary Chemistry courses to first year and second year undergraduates are preferred.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
