Applications are invited for a** temporary** post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Occupational Safety and Health within UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science.

The post holder will primarily lecture on the occupational safety and health programmes and will also contribute to the wider teaching and research programmes in occupational safety and health, including new developments.

The successful applicant will ideally have a background in an area cognate to occupational safety and health (e.g. occupational safety, occupational health, occupational health promotion, occupational hygiene, ergonomics, occupational psychology or occupational epidemiology) and will play a key role in coordinating the UCD Centre for Safety and Health at Work's continuing professional development teaching programmes.

Applicants should have previous experience in teaching in an area relevant to safety and health at tertiary level; have carried out research and have a clear research agenda; have experience in the broad field of occupational safety and / or health, and be experienced in the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research dissertations.

The University will welcome applications from those who can best further the integration of occupational safety and health, in the content of public health, within the School; foster collaboration with other disciplines in UCD and institutions nationally and internationally; and demonstrate a willingness to establish the School as an international centre for excellence in teaching and research in this area.

Lecturer/Assistant Professor Above Bar Salary Scale: €54,848 - €86,235 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
