Chair Professor / Professor – Global STEM Professorship Scheme (Several Posts) (PR0420/20-21)
The Faculty is recruiting internationally renowned innovation and technology (“I&T”) scholars at the rank of Chair Professor or Professor under the Global STEM Professorship Scheme (“the Scheme”).
Applicants should have worked at a university or research institute outside Hong Kong on a full-time basis (equivalent to full or Associate Professor) for not less than 3 years in the past 10 years. They should also have (i) a relevant PhD degree; (ii) strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching; and (iii) outstanding accomplishments and research potential. The applicants should focus on the following research areas:
- Biology: Bioresources & Agriculture; Environmental Health
- Chemistry: Analytical Science; Chemical Biology
- Computer Science: AI & Machine Learning; Privacy-Preserving Data Science
- Mathematics: Statistics & Big Data Analytics; Imaging & Vision
- Physics: Nonlinear & Complex Systems; Systems Biology & Bio-Physics; Advanced Materials
Suitable candidates will be nominated to the Scheme. Successful candidates will be offered with a highly competitive remuneration package partially supported by the Government, and may be provided with subsidy for their research teams and for setting up laboratories. Details of the Scheme would be announced in mid-June 2021.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
