This post provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced primary care researcher, part-time (0.5FTE), to conduct quantitative and qualitative research assessments of general practice patients, for the NIHR HTA funded multicentre PROMDEP research trial, aimed at testing the effects of symptom questionnaires on the management and outcome of depression in general practice. 

The Primary Care Research Centre is a member of the NIHR School for Primary Care Research, a national collaboration between the top performing nine academic primary care departments nationally, which provides major opportunities for networking, training, and multicentre collaborations.

We are looking for a track record in carrying out patient research assessments and qualitative interviews.

You will need to have a PhD* or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Health or Research related subject.

The successful candidate will need to take up the post as soon as possible after 1st August 2021. It is funded initially for 3 months, to be extended for up to 12 months, depending on obtaining further funding and the length of maternity leave taken by the research fellow, and subject to satisfactory progress.

*Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification.  The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD.  Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
