Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 504301), to commence on August 1, 2021 or as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree with a strong record of teaching.  Preferences will be given to those with expertise in counselling and clinical social work practice, particularly in the areas of mental health, youth, or family, and with five years’ experience in direct practice.  The appointee will be responsible for teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and is expected to be active in practice research and educational innovations.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
