Applications are invited for a 2 years post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Italian within UCD School of Languages. The School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics wishes to make a temporary appointment (2 years) for a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Italian, with expertise in modern or contemporary Italian literature (from the Enlightenment onwards), along with experience in language teaching at university undergraduate level. An additional research interest in cinema is desirable. The successful candidate will prepare, design, deliver and assess high-quality language and content modules in the Italian undergraduate and graduate programmes, as well as contributing to cross-School teaching, and will undertake such administrative duties as assigned by the Head of School or his/her nominee. UCD is a dynamic, research-intensive university that is at the forefront of research and teaching activities across a wide range of disciplines. The BA in International Modern Languages at UCD is ranked among the top 100 in the QS subject rankings. The School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics is a research-active unit with scholarly interests in the fields of literature, civilisation, linguistics, history, politics and society of the target societies in which the languages taught in the School are embedded. 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar Salary Scale: €54,848 - €86,235 per annum Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines Closing date: 17:00hrs (local Irish time) on 28th June 2021 Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified.
