Assistant Professor (PR0383/20-21)

The Department is seeking qualified candidates to fill a tenure-track position.

Requirements:

• PhD in history, with teaching and research experience in the higher education sector;
• Solid publication record with an active research agenda;
• Expertise in any historical sub-field, but priority will be given to applicants working on the following areas: Global/Transnational/Comparative History, Pre-modern Chinese History, Canadian History, Latin American History, and History of Oceania; and
• Previous successful grant records would be an advantage.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years commencing September 2021 or earlier. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
