Job Description

• Design and implement advanced and novel testing solutions that can identify safety, robustness, and fairness issues in AI systems (specifically, those based on Reinforcement Learning)
• Conduct evaluations to validate the effectiveness of the algorithms and tools
• Write and publish research papers and present them to reputable academic conferences
• Package the documents, implementation code, evaluate results of the project for public release 
• Liaise with the overseas and local team members and collaborators of this project to realize the overall goal of the project
• Help mentor engineers hired in the project

Qualifications

• Minimum PhD in Software Engineering/Computer Science/Information Systems from a local university
• Strong relevant research capability as evidenced by at least 3 first-authored papers (relevant to the job description given above) in major Software Engineering or Artificial Intelligence research conferences / journals. At least one of the papers must be in a top venue (that is considered as such by the funding agency for the KPIs of the project)
• Excellent knowledge about automated software testing (fuzzing) and artificial intelligence (reinforcement learning)
• Highly fluent in Python and Java
• Highly competent in designing and implementing algorithms and data structures
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively with team members
• Able to work under strict deadlines
