Job Description

Two Research Fellow openings in the ChBE at the National University of Singapore. The Hou research group at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is a multi-disciplinary team with the aim of translating hybrid electronic materials into the next generation tandem photovoltaic technologies with potential societal impacts in future energy technologies and environmental sustainability. Qualifications

Research Fellow (2~3 openings available) We seek exceptional PDFs to lead projects in perovskite materials innovation and perovskite-based tandem solar cell. You should have a PhD degree in chemistry, physics, materials science, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, or similar field with strong hands-on experience in perovskite, organic, and inorganic semiconductor synthesis, thin film device processing and characterization.   

Candidates must have a doctoral degree in a relevant field of study and have a good first-authored publication record, a high motivation for innovation, excellence and flexibility to work and deliver results. Candidates are expected to bring excellent organizational and time-management skills; excellent communication skills, including the capacity to offer thoughtful and clear technical guidance on research projects; and clear and efficient writing. Candidates will bring proven expertise in one or more of the following domains: - 

  • Design andsynthesis of new materials. 
  • Advanced materials and device characterization. 
  • Micro-nano-technology for device fabrication. 
  • Tandem solar cell. 
  • Phase segregation and degradation investigation. 
  • Large scale thin-film coating technologies. 

We will assist you to develop future experimental goals and shape the general research direction of the group. These positions have an expected start date of Dec. 1 2020 – May 1 2021 or upon agreement. The initial term will be 1 year, with the possibility of renewal.
