Job Details
A Research Fellow is required to work on a national survey of mental health risk assessment and safety planning practice for a 6-month period and associated projects. The post involves leading on the implementation of this important piece of work funded by the Burdett Trust for Nursing. The successful candidate will have an organised approach to project work and be able to work independently with appropriate supervision. Prior experience of conducting online surveys using relevant software (e.g., JISC Surveys Online) would be advantageous as would proven experience of managing large datasets. The project will also involve qualitative aspects including online focus groups and interviews and experience in these areas will be an advantage. The successful candidate will have skills related to literature searching and critique, and ideally will have excellent writing skills. The project is overseen by a steering group involving mental health service users' participation. An ability to present information concisely and in lay language would be beneficial. Knowledge and use of social media and more traditional methods of communication will benefit the project in terms of recruitment of mental health practitioners.
