Research Fellow, Biological Sciences
The successful candidates will work with Prof Yu Hao at the Department of Biological Sciences on the investigation of lighting recipes for sustainable and high-quality vegetable production. The main responsibilities of the positions include performing physiological, bioimaging and molecular genetic studies of leafy vegetable responses to light spectrum, intensity and duration, exploring lighting conditions for sustainable and high-quality vegetable production, and screening or creation of elite vegetable varieties under specific lighting conditions.
- The candidates should possess a Ph.D degree (or have completed Ph.D training) in plant physiology and/or plant molecular biology. Skills
- The candidates should have a proven track record in performing physiological, bioimaging, bioinformatic and molecular genetic experiments on leaf vegetables and/or Arabidopsis. Experience
- Prior experiences in plant physiology, plant molecular biology, and genetics are necessary.
- The experience in working on Arabidopsis and/or leafy vegetables will be an advantage.
