Grade 6 £36,914 to £44,045 per annum

Full-time: 35 Hours per week

UWS’ core truth “we are here for our students” is exemplified through our strategic Student Experience Programme.  Aligned to this strategy, an exciting opportunity has arisen within Student Services for the position of Careers Team Leader.

As well as providing strong leadership and management of the Careers team, the postholder will have a pivotal role in the Student Experience Programme which seeks to embed employability within the curriculum, create opportunities throughout the Student Journey and develop world class graduates.

In delivering these strategic objectives, the Team Leader will manage and facilitate student facing initiatives, ensuring delivery models and technology are embraced to offer innovative and relevant services for students and graduates, and will develop partnerships, utilise datasets and work in close collaboration with colleagues including Academic schools, Enterprise, Strategic Planning, Alumni and the Students Association.

Educated to postgraduate level with a qualification in Careers Guidance or recognised equivalent, the successful candidate will have experience of leadership or management, ideally in a careers or employability background within higher education.  They will be clear communicators with creative vision and a flexible approach, able to manage diverse and challenging projects with knowledge of relevant and contemporary issues within the HE careers and employability sector.
