The student residential experience was recognised in 2015 as a critical element of student life at the University of Lincoln and the University embarked on a transformational change programme, moving from 1000 directly controlled Purpose Built Student Accommodation bed spaces to circa 2700 currently, with construction ongoing to increase beds to 4400+ by 2022. Due to this growth we are now recruiting to a number of crucial operational roles.

We are looking to appoint an Accommodation Assistant. Reporting to an Accommodation Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that apartments/rooms are ready for allocation/occupancy and maintaining that apartments/rooms are being occupied in accordance with defined guidelines. General duties will involve preparing accommodation and public areas ; tidying and cleaning as required , updating noticeboards and relevant information to residents’ , partaking in regular inspection programmes , maintaining accurate records , using IT equipment , delivering stock and other FF&E items to apartments/rooms. The role will involve manual handling and working at heights.

You will have worked in a range of environments: This could include housing management/facilities management/hotel and conference management both in the public and private sector. Ideally you will have a strong record of providing excellent customer services. You will have competent IT skills and a high standard of written and oral communication skills. The role will involve some evening and weekend working. Additionally you may be required to travel between sites in order to complete tasks and support colleagues. This role may require a full DBS check.

You must demonstrate a genuine commitment towards continual service improvement, ideally focused around the customer experience. You will be an effective team member, with an enthusiastic and flexible approach and have the ability to work under pressure to tight timescales.
