Primary Literacy Lecturer

Job description

Our new colleague will work with experienced colleagues to prepare and deliver a range of Literacy modules, in line with the Primary National Curriculum, Early Literacy and Core Content Curriculum to Primary ITE trainees across undergraduate and PGCE programmes. A willingness to contribute to our cross-curricular and Professional Studies teaching is essential.  As part of your role you will also be required to support trainees on school placement and carry out recruitment and other education-related activities.

Qualified Teacher Status and experience of primary teaching and in particular Primary Literacy and Early Literacy are essential requirements for the post. St Mary’s Institute of Education is committed to supporting staff to develop scholarly activity and research in their area of interest.
