The Division of Psychology is part of the School of Applied Social Sciences, one of four specialist schools, also including Leicester School of Allied Health Sciences, Leicester School of Nursing and Midwifery, and Leicester School of Pharmacy.

Our teaching reflects the latest developments in the sector and many of our courses have professional accreditations. A range of work experience and volunteering opportunities enables students to develop the skills sought by graduate employers. Recent graduates have secured roles with leading employers such as AstraZeneca, Ministry of Defence and the NHS. Role

We are looking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Environmental Psychology the Division of Psychology. The role will include both teaching and research duties to students on undergraduate and postgraduate on British Psychological Society Accredited undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes.

Typically, your teaching duties will include preparation and delivery of lectures and seminars, supervision of final year projects, contributing to the personal tutoring scheme, and the devising and marking of assessments. You will be required to contribute to the teaching of research methods to our students. There will be opportunities to become involved in a variety of existing research projects. You will be expected to be research active in psychology.

Ideal Candidate

You will hold a PhD in psychology (or equivalent professional qualification and experience). We are looking for you to have expertise in environmental psychology. We would also welcome applications from candidates who have expertise in related areas such as psychological wellbeing or positive psychology. You will be familiar with delivering teaching and learning within a Higher education or academic-level delivery within commercial settings. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the University community. You will share DMU’s passion to provide outstanding and inclusive outcomes for all of its students.
