About the role

The Communications Business Partner, Health, Safety and Wellbeing is an integral role to supporting the safety and wellbeing of the RMIT community. The role is accountable for providing strategic communications advice and execution, partnering with the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team on a range of health, safety and wellbeing initiatives for staff and students.

As the strategic advisor for Health, Safety and Wellbeing, this role partners with the Director - Heath, Safety and Wellbeing and works closely with the broader team to develop compelling and effective communications and engagement strategies.

About you

You will develop, lead and implement a best-practice approach to Health, Safety and Wellbeing communications, including the development, delivery and curation of all safety communications, including COVID-19 safety initiatives.

The ability to respond quickly and to tailor complex information into clear, concise and effective communications is critical, as well as strong stakeholder management skills to effectively build relationships across the University. Working collaboratively with specialists from the University Communications team to execute on internal and student communication campaigns to protect and enhance the health, safety and wellbeing of the University community is also essential.

Demonstrated experience in business partnering, managing stakeholders and priorities, with the ability to deliver impactful communications in a timely and responsive way is essential. As is experience working in an issues rich environment and can lead, manage and execute multiple projects.

Qualifications

A graduate degree in Communications with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
