Job Description

The successful candidates will work with Prof Yu Hao at the Department of Biological Sciences on the investigation of m6A modification in plants under a project titled “Deciphering the Mechanisms of RNA Modifications in Plants”. The main responsibilities of the position include performing gene cloning, genotyping, maintaining plant culture and seeds and other experiments that support the investigation of the functions and mechanisms of m6A in various plant developmental processes.

Qualifications

  1. The candidate should at least possess a Bachelor degree with honours in life sciences.  

Skills:

  1. The candidate should have a proven track record in performing physiological, molecular, genetic, biochemical, and bioimaging experiments in plant systems.

Experience:  

  1. Prior experiences in functional genomics, plant molecular biology, plant physiology and genetics are necessary.
  2. The proven experience in working on Arabidopsis and other plants will be an advantage.
