Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Early Childhood Development and Education in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 504003), to commence on September 1, 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year temporary-term basis.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in early childhood education, developmental psychology, social/public policy, public health or a related field. They should have an aptitude for and interest in evaluating programmes and policies aimed at improving the well-being of young children and families, proficiency in quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods data analysis and experience with statistical analysis packages. They must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills. They should also have demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse, collegial team on multiple tasks and projects. The position offers early career professionals an opportunity to obtain hands-on experience on how to develop, conduct, and disseminate interdisciplinary policy-relevant research.
The appointee will be responsible for utilizing existing large datasets, performing advanced statistical analysis, preparing and analysing datasets collected from upcoming projects, as well as writing and contributing to manuscripts. He/She will work under the supervision of Professor Nirmala Rao.
