About this Opportunity
We are seeking an inspirational and creative individual for this exciting opportunity for a new Head of School. Reporting to the Executive Dean of the Faculty, the Head of School will provide strategic and operational leadership and oversight of the academic, research and administrative activities of the School, in collaboration with the senior leadership team.
You will be responsible for leading the development of the academic vision and student experience, raising research performance of ITEE while bringing in a tighter focus/strategy and working closely with other Heads of School take forward the strategic direction of the Faculty.

Ideally, you will be an experienced and inspiring leader of world-class standing, with the capability to drive research and education excellence in an interdisciplinary context. You will have strong financial literacy/budget management, as well as managed infrastructure experience. You will be innovative, with demonstrated experience in increasing staff satisfaction. You will be an excellent communicator, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships.
The Head of School will foster a culture of collegiality and develop and mentor staff to ensure the School’s continued success, while promoting the School, Faculty and University at a national and international level.

The Head of School role is a full-time fixed term position for five (5) years. Upon negotiation, a continuing Professorial Academic Level E position may be considered. A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
