About the role 

As the Finance Administrator, you will be responsible for processing all income and expenditure through the Wessex Institute.

Using the Unit 4 Business World system, this will include ensuring that Purchase Orders are raised in accordance with the University’s Financial Regulations and that payments are correctly authorised and processed on time.  You will also raise customer invoices to ensure that revenues are received as per the contracted payment schedules.

You will assist with the preparation of supplier contracts and will need to communicate with colleagues at all levels within Wessex Institute as well as colleagues across various University departments (eg Procurement, Accounts Payable etc).

Staff at the Wessex Institute are currently working remotely in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and it is likely that the successful candidate will also be required to. Once the threat from COVID-19 lessens and the Wessex Institute re-opens its physical workplace, some remote and flexible working will be considered on an individual basis, depending on team roles, locations and logistics.
