The Programmes of Master of Arts in Communication are jointly offered by HKBU and UIC. Based on the respective advantages of the two universities, the curriculum setting stands on integrating knowledge and skills in the area of AI and Digital Media.

 

We now invites candidates for these positions which are expected to be filled in September 2021:

1) Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in AI and Digital Media (Ref: GS 201202)

Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Computer Graphics, Digital Media Communication, Human-computer Interface, Operating Systems, Data Communications and Networking, Programming Languages, Digital Media Computing, Database Management Systems, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Data Processing, Statistics.

 

Job Requirement

The candidate is required to have a PhD degree in a related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or postgraduate teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who can undertake independent research leading to outstanding outcomes, including publications in high quality international-refereed journals. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.

 

Appointment Terms and Benefits
Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave and social insurance. Continuation of appointment beyond the initial term will be subject to mutual agreement.
