Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer in the Department of Medicine and the State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (Ref.: 503892), to commence as soon as possible on a two- to three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Biology or a related discipline.  They should have excellent project management, good coordination, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to work independently and under pressure; a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; and fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese.  Relevant experience in commercializing scientific research is highly preferred.  The appointee will participate in immunoassay development, and transformation of scientific and research findings to commercialized products.  Enquiries about the post should be sent to Miss Lily Li at lily46@hku.hk.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
