The Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER

position for a fixed-term period of two years (September 2021 – August 2023) to work in the Academy of Finland project #332671 Geometry and Applications of Quasiregular Curves. The position´s main focus is on research in the broad area of quasiconformal geometry/analysis and geometric function theory. Familiarity with conformal geometry, (pseudo)holomorphic curves, and calibrated geometries is considered as an advantage. In addition to research, a postdoctoral researcher has a yearly teaching commitment of 81 hours.

Applicants for the Postdoctoral Researcher position are expected to have a PhD degree in mathematics or other relevant field.

Salary and benefits

The salary is determined based on an applicant´s qualifications and experience, but the starting salary is typically in the range 3400 – 3800€.
