The Department of Management (http://www.ln.edu.hk/mgt) is one of the five departments in the Faculty of Business that contribute to the undergraduate programme of Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) degree. The Department also runs a Master of Science Programme in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour, supervises research postgraduate students, and offers a variety of courses that aim to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and qualifications to meet the needs of business and society in Hong Kong, Asia, and beyond.

The main responsibilities of the post are to: (i) teach a number of courses on human resource management and organizational behavior for 30 hours (about 10 courses/sessions) each academic year; (ii) serve as internship/mentorship coordinator; (iii) develop and implement innovative teaching approaches; and (iv) contribute to service and development of the Department.

General Requirements

Applicants for the position should have:

  1. A master’s degree and/or a PhD degree in a relevant discipline;
  2. At least four years’ relevant experience for appointment as Lecturer and at least eight years’ experience for appointment as Senior Lecturer;
  3. Excellent track record of teaching in higher education, including curriculum development, innovative pedagogy and grants;
  4. Proven record of professional services; and
  5. Commitment to knowledge transfer, community engagement and related activities.

Appointment

The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The rank and remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity, and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee. Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to two years.
