Edith Cowan University is seeking to appoint a new Executive Dean to the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

At the School of Nursing and Midwifery we have a passion for finding better ways to educate and prepare nurses and midwives, enhancing their capacity to professionally and competently contribute to improved wellbeing in our community. The School of Nursing and Midwifery has partnerships with metropolitan and rural hospitals and the private sector, allowing students to gain world ready experience during undergraduate clinical placements.

A member of the University Executive Committee and reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, the appointee will shape the ongoing development of the School of Nursing and Midwifery and contribute to the wider strategic direction of the University. The successful candidate will demonstrate significant leadership experience, marked by an inspiring, energetic, inclusive, and highly effective management style. With a proven track record in leading a complex Nursing and Midwifery entity , the next Executive Dean will ideally also demonstrate experience in an education environment along with the ability to set and deliver a transformational agenda, with a view to broadening the reach of School of Nursing and Midwifery and creating a solid platform for the future growth and development of the academy.
