Job Description

To work with Director, Office of Admissions, to manage matters pertaining to application, selection and admissions of students, Challenge Examination (CEX) waiver, and credit recognition.

  • To develop and maintain an effective and efficient system for the planning of all administrative operations within the department.
  • To structure and maintain the department so as to facilitate effective performance by department staff through optimum delegation and clearly established individual responsibilities and objectives.
  • To influence department staff to perform their work effectively towards meeting the established objectives.
  • Assess and monitor work in progress and assess work performance of staff towards the achievement of objectives.
  • Manage the application and admission process, including processing of applications, course offers, and appeal cases.
  • Manage the acceptance of offer process for all selected applicants.
  • Manage the course fee payment of new students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date statistics on paid-up applicants.
  • Manage the issuance of new students’ cards.
  • Review policies and procedures concerning application and selection, and student admissions.
  • To maintain accurate and up-to-date CEX waiver and credit recognition data.
  • Manage the CEX waiver and credit recognition applications and appeals.
  • Review policies and procedures concerning CEX waiver and credit recognition data.
  • Participate and assist in University-wide activities as specified in the respective action plans and/or duty rosters, e.g., examination invigilation, orientation, convocation, etc.
  • To assist with any other tasks and duties as necessary and/or assigned

Job Requirements

  • Degree with at least 5 years of working experience, of which 3 years at managerial level.
  • Preferably business oriented with strong administrative and customer service focus.
  • PC literate, with Microsoft Office Skills.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, able to work independently and take initiative.
  • A good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Pleasant disposition with good customer service skills.
  • Resourceful and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • An eye for details.
