The NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS Medicine) is recruiting two new tenure-track faculty members to work at ASPIRE (SERI-NUS BASIC SCIENCE PROGRAMME IN OCULAR RESEARCH), a NUS-SERI joint laboratory which was recently formed. The joint laboratory aims to bridge existing strengths in fundamental basic sciences at NUS Medicine with expertise in translational ophthalmology at the Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI) and the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). Bridging world-class research at both institutions will provide the successful candidates with an outstanding opportunity for the translation and innovation of fundamental eye and vision research into the clinical setting.
The recruited faculty member will hold their primary appointment at NUS Medicine with a joint appointment with SERI/SNEC. The level of appointment will be at Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor level and commensurate with the candidate’s experience and track record. The recruitment package will include an attractive salary, generous start-up research funding as well as office and laboratory space. The successful candidate is expected to build and lead a collaborative and productive research team and apply for competitive grants to sustain his/her research in the long term.
Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, research statement (no longer than 3 pages), curriculum vitae with full list of publications and summary of accomplishments to Ms Yvonne Lee at firstname.lastname@example.org by 15 April 2021. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
