Examiner Recruitment and Training Associate Manager

2 year Fixed Term Contract, 37.5 hours a week

Salary £30,000-£34,000 depending on experience

Job Purpose:

The Examiner Recruitment and Training Associate Manager ensures that the IB has sufficient trained IB Educators in all Assessment roles to deliver two examination sessions per year for the Diploma Programme, Career-related Programme and Middle Years Programme, as appropriate. All recruited IB Educators must have appropriate qualifications and experience and be offered appropriate training in order to undertake this role. Through these activities, the post holder plays a major part in enhancing the reliability and accuracy of assessment.
 
Job Duties:

  • For selected subjects or roles, plan recruitment requirements and work with colleagues to develop promotional plans to meet those requirements
  • Recruit IB Educators for the IB, supporting applicants and successful educators
  • Ensure that IB Educators are aware of relevant policies and practices
  • Working with colleagues, design training programs which support IB policies and ensure that IB Educators meet quality assurance standards
  • Taking into account the international nature of the IB, develop the training programs and ensure that they are accessible to all examiners
  • Support colleagues with the use of online technologies and develop online meeting areas which support assessment functions
  • Work with colleagues to develop processes and policies which ensure that the IB follows best practice and is compliant with all regulations placed up on us.

Job Requirements:

  • A first degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience in online processes
  • An excellent understanding of the Internet and its underlying technologies, including web functionality, design and protocols
  • A good understanding of current developments in online learning environments (e.g. Moodle or Blackboard)
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build and foster productive working relationships
  • A good command of the English language
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability when working in a small team environment
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate well across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent presentation skills.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Demonstrable educational experience, some of which ideally in a professional development capacity
  • Ability to work in French, Spanish or Japanese is highly desirable
  • Experience in statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of the IB, IB Programmes or being an IB Alumni a plus.
