Job Description
This job aims to develop theoretical models for the emergence, coalescence, and split of topological singularities on degenerate bands shown in metal surfaces to realize polarization manipulation of chiral light and perform numerical simulations to design and analyse devices fabricated by photonic crystal slabs. The research job requires in-depth physics insight for the singular optics, scattering theory, electromagnetic modelling, and proposal of underlying work mechanisms in interdisciplinary fields, including electromagnetic multipole theory and topological photonics.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. Degree in Optical Engineering or relevant area with a strong background in metal surfaces and scattering theory.
- Experience of working in the field of numerical simulations and design of photonic crystals slab.
- Mathematics specific knowledge required in topology, group theory and complex analysis.
- Technical proficiency with performing analytical modelling and numerical simulations in electromagnetics.
- Candidate should have strong publication records in reputed international journals in scattering, metal surfaces and topology, e.g., physical review letters, etc.
- Diversified analysis capabilities such as multipolar decomposition, toroidal effects, etc.
- Open to fixed-term contract.
