Job Description
The successful candidate will work with A/Prof Matthias G. Wacker on the characterization of investigational drug products (first-in-men clinical candidates) of a start-up company from Switzerland. After a training of 3 months in the Wacker research lab, he/she will manage the project, develop the in-vitro release assays, and establish the in vitro-in vivo correlations (IVIVCs) using advanced modeling techniques. Analytical techniques and documentation will follow latest standards (e.g. USP/ICH/EMA/FDA standards) to use the data in dossier submission. The candidate should have strong interest in industry-related research as a starting point for a career in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
Qualifications
Qualifications / Discipline:
PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline (e.g. chemistry, applied physics, biophysics)
Skills:
- Strong interest in pharma R&D and self-motivation
- Interest in coding, computer-related analysis techniques
- Wet lab skills
- Good sense of humour
Experience:
- Experience in chemical analysis or (bio)physical characterization methods (e.g. HPLC, DLS, Microscopy, UV spectrophotometry) and pharmaceutical in-vitro methods would be an advantage.
- Minimum experience in coding (e.g. Excel, Python)
