We are looking for outstanding academics who can work within the School of Computing Science on Responsible and Interactive Artificial Intelligence.  Up to four positions are available.

Applications for the post are welcome in any research areas that revolve around responsible and interactive Artificial Intelligence, in particular in relation to the development of technologies capable of working and interacting in an unbiased, transparent, ethical, safe and trustworthy way.

The postholder will develop, lead and sustain research of international standard in one or more of Trustworthy Autonomous Systems, Explainable AI, Machine Ethics and Accountability, Governance and Regulation of AI, Fairness and Bias in AI, Human Centric AI, Shared Human+AI Control, AI at the network Edge or any related areas of computing science; contribute to teaching, assessment, project supervision and curriculum design at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and participate in School management and organisation.
 
For appointment at Reader you will have an outstanding track record of national and international distinction and leadership in research, including publications, income, and awards, bringing external recognition and distinction to yourself and the University.
 
These positions are equivalent to US tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor.  We particularly encourage applications from women and other groups who are traditionally under-represented in Computing Science.
