Applications are invited for appointment as Full-time/Part-time Post-doctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 503645), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Education Psychology, Cognitive Science, Social Sciences, or a related discipline. They should have strong competence in project coordination, communication, qualitative and quantitative research methodology; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and the abilities to work cross-disciplinarily with detail for accuracy, independence and leadership skills. Preference will be given to those with experience in project management, academic writing and high proficiency in written and spoken English.
The appointee will work on a cross-faculty educational and research project with a number of healthcare professionals and other faculties at HKU and beyond. This will be in connection with information dissemination and supporting of teaching staff to use a novel and innovative video pedagogy that is used online to help students develop higher-order thinking and performance skills. The appointee will assist with project coordination, operation, implementation and research-related activities including creating and disseminating resource materials on the novel pedagogy, training and supporting staff in implementing the video pedagogy in different faculties; evaluate the outcomes of the educational intervention; analyze outcome data; and publish results.
