The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidates employment at the University.  The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement. Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement

This is a fixed term role available from June 2021 for 24 months, with a flexible start date up to September 2021. 

Flexible work arrangements can be negotiated with the right candidates. 

This is an opportunity for a high-achieving postdoctoral researcher to join a world-leading research group within the area of computer security and cryptography. In this role you will design, develop, implement, and assess tools and procedures for secure implementation of cryptographic primitives. The position will support our research program to improve hardware and software security and promote secure designs.

To be successful you will need:

  • Completion of a PhD in Computer Science or a similar discipline.
  • Evidence of experience in designing cryptographic hardware and software.
  • A strong track record of quality research as evidenced by publications in top-tier (CORE A/A*) venues in the area of cryptographic engineering.
  • Background in side-channel analysis or related area, such as logic locking, whitebox cryptography, fault analysis, etc. 
  • Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion.
