Lincoln is a university looking to the future where we serve and develop our local, national and international communities by creating purposeful knowledge & research, confident & creative graduates and a dynamic & engaged workforce. We will achieve this through a culture of enterprise and innovation.

Research & Enterprise is a central professional support department which works with staff, industry, external partners, students and graduates to drive:

  • A dynamic research environment
  • Increased levels of graduate employment and progression
  • Innovation & productivity levels throughout our region.
  • We use all these elements together and separately to build wide and deep external partnerships, further developing our role as an ‘active anchor institution’.

Since its establishment in 2011, Research & Enterprise has supported growth in activity and impact such as a doubling in external bidding activity and HE-BCI related income and a fivefold increase in student employability interactions. The University has changed significantly during this period and with the development and implementation of a new University Strategic Plan responding to a changing external environment (e.g. Brexit, UKRI etc.) we now have exciting opportunities to create a new model of support for our customers.

This position is focused on managing, expanding and deepening the University’s external and industrial partnerships through a broad range of mechanisms (e.g. technology transfer, contract & collaborative research, consultancy and grant funded support programmes) and particularly partnership working with organisations such as Innovate UK, Knowledge Transfer Networks, the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, Midlands Engine, Midlands Enterprise Universities and others to lever our impact.

We are seeking to recruit dynamic, proactive, innovative individuals to this post, and other positions within the department, to help drive and build further success.

We are currently working from home and as such would consider flexible working patterns and location. We would consider internal secondment for this vacancy.
