Job Purpose

The School of Business is seeking to appoint a talented and motivated individual reporting to the Head of Operations as part of the school operations team. The post holder will be responsible for managing key activity and deadlines related to delivery of the school's programme portfolio. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the delivery of programme orientation sessions with programme teams. The post holder will also be responsible for the line management of two Finance Administrators and one Content Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Line management of a small team consisting of two finance administrators and one content administrator
  • Managing the School Operations Activity Calendar of deadlines and working with the Head of Operations and School Operations Director on upkeep, providing regular updates on deadlines, calendar management and improvement
  • Manage the schools deployment schedule working closely with central course set-up teams
  • Organisation of the Programme/Academic Orientation sessions with programme teams, including administration, data and follow up
  • Maintain the schools operational manual for documenting and keeping processes updated
  • Attendance at school committees and meetings as required
  • Ensuring up to date management and follow up of process on module development along with Content Administrator
  • Administrating system module registrations for new and existing students
  • Working with assessment data to produce lists of students for non-progression to the resourcing team
  • Providing regular progression data and reporting to the management team on programme performance
  • Ensuring invoicing, finance, tracking and accrual deadlines are met by the Finance Administrators
  • Contribute towards the development of of appropriate systems and processes in the school
  • Reviewing and enhancing team KPI's and SLA's with the Head of Operations

Candidate Criteria


  • Experience in managing operational processes
  • Experience of working within a service delivery environment
  • Experience of working towards KPI's and SLA's
  • Demonstrable experience of commitment to improving service delivery
  • Ability to manage complicated operational processes and challenges
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent computer/IT skills including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel
  • The ability to work well in a team and be collaborative
  • Have a flexible and responsive approach to workload and prioritisation


  • Educated to degree level, however applications from candidates and relevant work experience or other equivalent qualifications will also be considered
  • Experience of working in HE environment
