Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Epidemiology in the Laboratory of Data Discovery for Health (Ref.: D502021), to commence as soon as possible for two to three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

 

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in epidemiology, microbiology, bioinformatics, bio-mathematics/statistics or other related disciplines. They should have strong expertise and publication records in infectious disease epidemiology including modelling development and transmission of antimicrobial resistance with statistical or mathematical approaches. Research experience in analysing phenotypic and genotypic antimicrobial resistance data would be an advantage. Applicants should demonstrate the capacity to mentor junior colleagues and students. They should have a good command of written and spoken English, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team. They should also be self-motivated, organized, detail-minded and hardworking. Both fresh Ph.D. graduates and experienced postdoctoral researchers are welcome to apply.

 

The appointees are expected to conduct high-quality research on epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance. Translational research is also expected.
