The Department invites applications for an Assistant Professorship. Applicants should have specialized knowledge in the theory and practice of cultural management and mediation, with knowledge in creative industries, cultural policy, and the arts. Applicants should be familiar with the cultural landscape and development in Hong Kong, China and/or Asia.

Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in cultural studies, cultural management, arts and humanities, or other related fields; (ii) demonstrated high quality and original research outputs in arts and cultural management, cultural policies, creative industries, museum studies, public humanities, art/architecture history or related fields; (iii) a strong commitment in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate cultural studies courses; and (iv) a commitment in organizing programme related activities.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis (i.e. non-tenured) for up to two years commencing August 2021, renewable subject to budget, performance and mutual agreement.
