The University of Lincoln is the academic partner in a consortium of companies engaged in delivering ‘Project Selborne’, a large, multidisciplinary transformational training and educational service to the Royal Navy and Royal Marines in a partnership expected to last more than a decade.
The University of Lincoln will deliver a number of programmes in partnership with Capita Plc, as part of the wider ‘Fisher Training’ consortium of partners, including: Maritime Studies – at the Britannia Royal Naval College (Dartmouth); Social Work; Music; Command and Leadership for Royal Marine Young Officers.
The post holder will be a senior member of the Selborne project team and have a pivotal role in ensuring effective transition from the existing providers to the successful programme implementation. This involves the coordination of the institutional process and creation of new Selborne specific processes, while considering both internal and external requirements. The post holder will not only be involved in process coordination, but also in document production and review. The Selborne Project has clear timescales for both transition and implementation that will be managed by the post holder, working closely with the Head of Transition and the Accreditation Manager.
Professionalism, accuracy, a high attention to detail, flexibility and excellent interpersonal skills are critical to the success of this post. The post holder is expected to work on their own initiative, using judgement and expertise to deal with queries and challenges, and to prioritise their workload to meet required deadlines.
This post requires knowledge and experience of working in Higher Education, especially in innovative areas, with significant commercial awareness, experience of working with partners, relationship management, project management and operational leadership experience is also essential.
