We seek to appoint a talented individual to the role of Assistant Professor, tenable from 1 September 2021. We welcome applications from candidates with research and teaching specialisms within musicology broadly defined, which enhance and diversify our current strengths. Your specialism may be in any kind of music (including elite and vernacular genres) and period (from early to contemporary music cultures) and may be interdisciplinary in nature. You will contribute to high-quality teaching and curriculum development at UG and PG levels, including the Department's ongoing efforts to address challenges relating to gender equality, race and/or decolonisation. You will conduct high-quality research in your field of expertise and will be encouraged to develop connections and interdisciplinary dialogue between your field and other areas supported by the University, as well as with audiences beyond academia. You will be entitled to apply for research leave and research support in accordance with University and Departmental guidelines.
