The Role
We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Fees & Grants Officer at Administrative Officer II grade, who will work in close collaboration with the Fees & Grants Officer and be an integral part of the Fees & Grants Office team (the Fees & Grants Office is a Unit within the Bursar's Office). The position offers the opportunity to work in a team environment at the heart of the University environment.
This is a challenging position and the person appointed should be familiar with University regulations, policies and procedures, Exchequer Free Fees scheme, SUSI funding, Account payable and Account receivable processes, particularly those relevant to a busy student facing role. The Fees & Grants Office communicates and engages with incoming, current and continuing students, all University Departments and various external stakeholders, to ensure the timely collection and administration all student fee liability, the distribution of numerous grants, stipends, awards, and scholarships throughout the Academic year. The post provides an opportunity to contribute to the developments of a student facing Office and of its governance, processes and procedures. The post holder will engage in a range of duties and responsibilities and assist the team with its collaborative working relationships with students and stakeholders across campus.
Administrative Officer II (2020)* Salary Scale: €38,736 - €55,740 p.a. (9 points)
