About the opportunity

The Westmead Applied Research Centre (WARC) is looking for a Senior Research Fellow in Digital Health. In this position you will both lead and work in projects aimed at developing and evaluating innovative ways of improving access to, and participation in, cardiovascular disease prevention programs and prevention services.

Under the leadership of Professor Clara Chow , you will be primarily based at Westmead, working in a supportive, creative, flexible research environment and in collaboration with local and international industry partners. You will be encouraged to pursue education and development opportunities pertinent to your role and research interests.

About you

  • a PhD in Digital Health/Health Informatics or in a cognate discipline area and have an established track record in research activities which has international and national impact:
  • a background education and/or work experience in medicine, public health, health sciences, healthcare, or health services
  • experience in attracting research funding, preparing grant applications, and responding to government consultancies/tenders.
  • experience with managing, analysis and interpretation of health data
  • demonstrated expertise in quantitative, qualitative and/or mixed research methodologies, with the ability to work independently, as well as the ability to work in a team environment
  • the ability to conceive, initiate, organise and manage projects
  • excellent interpersonal and presentation skills - with ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders such as across public and private sectors, industry, government, and academia
  • experience with electronic medical record software, interoperability, and data management is desirable
