We are seeking a highly motivated individual to co-ordinate and conduct investigations relating to the university’s student complaints, student disciplinary and sexual misconduct policies. Taking responsibility for confidential, in depth investigations, the post holder will work with staff, students and external stakeholders to ensure that the university responds promptly and fairly to all formal complaints and misconduct allegations. The postholder will ensure that all university processes comply with good practice and relevant codes of practice.
Educated to degree level, with experience of conducting formal investigations, you will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills and an empathic approach. A recognised mediation training qualification is desirable.
This position involves working with under 18s) / vulnerable people and therefore requires compliance with the University’s Safeguarding Policies, including the requirement for enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance prior to the commencement of employment. The University is committed to stringent Safeguarding practices, including in its practices around the recruitment and selection of staff, to positions which involve working with under 18’s and/or vulnerable people. The successful candidate will be required to complete AUB approved Safeguarding Training.
