013044 UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1, (Social scientist: cultural ecosystem services, UCD School of Biology and Environmental Science, Temporary 9 month post

A Postdoctoral Researcher is required to undertake UCD's research activities on Cultural Ecosystem Services in Phase 2 of the Ecostructure project. The research will contribute to Work Package 7 of the project which focuses on WP7: Upscaling and translation of coastal eco-engineering research. This research will contribute to an interdisciplinary project (Ecostructure), part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Ireland Wales Cooperation Programme 2014-2020, to raise awareness of eco-engineering solutions to the challenge of coastal adaptation to climate change by providing developers and regulators with accessible tools and resources.

This is a research focused role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator.

The primary purpose of the role is to further develop your research skills and competences, including the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications, the development of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.

Salary range: €38,631 - €39.169 per annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience
