Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 503205), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research in public health, with at least 3 years’ relevant teaching practice. A portfolio of programme administration, course design, curriculum development, production of teaching materials, quality assurance, supervision of teaching practice, and/or student advising is highly preferred. The appointee will coordinate academic curriculum for MBBS, BASc(GHD) and MPH modules; teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in medicine, allied health, healthcare management and policy; conduct problem-based learning and evidence-based practice tutorials; and develop and teach common core courses. He/She will also provide support to practicum placements, student support services, accreditation review exercises, and perform other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
